An memorable full-day trip to the Center for Sustainability and Energy Conservation of the AGH University of Science and Technology (WGGiOŚ) in Miękinia took place on December 9.

This was a special award for participation in the Climathon 2017 event. Along with the full winning team, we were also hosted by Mr. Andrzej Łazęcki Deputy Director of the Department of Municipal Economy in Cracow. He mentioned that he was “very impressed by the use of innovative heating systems throughout the Center in Miękinia”.

The day began with a discussion of the laboratory’s activities and an introduction to teaching equipment such as : PCs, PV panels and collectors, etc. Participants attended two workshops : on low emissions using POLoNEs mobile lab and on renewable sources using BUS Oze mobile lab.

At the end, there were discussions on further activities related to the Climathon event. Valuable ideas, i.e. ideas that serve the protection of the climate and society are worth implementing – so now is the time to think carefully and plan the entire event in order to achieve the goals”. – Foundation President Joanna Mieszkowicz said.
