Convert loyalty points to a tree – It’s time for a forest with Kaufland Card!
Between April 11 and 30, customers of the Kaufland store chain will be able to symbolically plant their tree by exchanging the loyalty points they collect for a dedicated coupon with a tree symbol. For each activation of a coupon worth 500 points. a tree will be planted.
Planting trees for loyalty points
Planting trees counteracts global climate change and supports biodiversity. Biodiversity is a key element in ensuring the proper functioning of ecosystems and maintaining the balance of nature, including human health, welfare and safety. Therefore, it is important to build public awareness of the benefits provided by skillful reforestation and support for biodiversity. Cooperation with the Kaufland store chain will enable us not only to raise funds to plant the trees, but also to reach people for whom this type of undertaking may be new.
We are happy to join forces with such a big brand as Kaufland. We hope that through the Time for the Forest campaign with Kaufland Card, we will encourage customers to take simple climate protection actions and plant thousands more trees – says Marek Piatkowski, president of the Aeris Futuro Foundation.
What is the Time for the Forest campaign with Kaufland Card all about?
You only need 500 points to plant a tree! Between April 11 and 30, customers of the Kaufland store chain will be able to support the “Time for the Forest” program by exchanging the loyalty points they collect for a dedicated coupon with a tree symbol. For each activation of a coupon worth 500 points. a tree will be planted. Local communities will be able to participate in the tree-planting event once the campaign is completed and the planting site is determined.
Tree planting is another effort to reduce carbon footprint, protect climate and biodiversity. Forests and other extensive green spaces play an important role related to supporting biodiversity, retention and carbon sequestration. They provide habitat for many plant and animal species. Being aware of this, in cooperation with the Aeris Futuro Foundation, we are launching the Time for the Forest with Kaufland Card campaign, to which we invite customers. Between April 11 and April 30, customers can exchange the loyalty points they collect for a dedicated coupon with a tree symbol. You only need 500 points to plant a tree. We will then plant all the “harvested” trees together with the Aeris Futuro Foundation and the local community – Maja Szewczyk, Director of Corporate Affairs at Kaufland Poland, explains.
Loyalty points will enable planting of native tree species
Appropriately selected for habitat conditions that meet planting goals, native species will be planted to effectively address the current environmental needs of the selected sites. Once the location and optimal time for the plantings have been determined, local communities will be invited to plant together.
Loyalty program as an expression of sustainability and environmental concern
