Thanks to the commitment of customers of the Auchan, chain, who supported our “Time for Forest”, project while shopping, we will be able to plant 8400 trees!

From October 2 to November 26, 2023, in Auchan stores, you could symbolically plant a tree by making a micro-donation to our Foundation. We will use the funds raised to plant native tree species in 8 selected municipalities across the country.

Biodiversity is the variety of all living organisms found on Earth in terrestrial, marine and freshwater ecosystems and the ecological communities of which they are a part.

Maintaining biodiversity is crucial not only for the survival of ecosystems and the sustainability of our planet, but also for the well-being of humanity. Trees are the foundation of green infrastructure and, regardless of where they are planted, have the potential to initiate the formation of biodiverse ecosystems.

By planting native tree species, we not only support biodiversity, but at the same time limit the expansion of alien invasive species that have long since escaped our control. Trees donated thanks to the support of customers of Auchan chain stores will be planted in 8 selected municipalities in the spring of 2024.The species composition will be selected adequately to the conditions of the selected habitat. The saplings will go to municipalities that do not have the capacity to finance such plantings themselves.
