Climathon 2017 – Energy for the Climate

10 October 2017 | News

On 27-28 October everyone is invited to participate in the 2nd edition of Climathon.

This year’s conference will be held under the theme – Energy for Climate. Starting from the slogan, all participants in the event will have the task of designing a solution to promote climate protection in Krakow, increasing public involvement.

Projects should take into account the sources and information of the City of Krakow, focus on promotional, informational and educational activities related to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing energy efficiency and using renewable energy.

Each project should promote the slogan of this year’s Climathon – Energy for the Climate. It is also important that the teams plan a budget for the implementation of their idea – not exceeding 30 thousand zlotys. All participants will be divided into creative teams. Support will be provided by experts as well as advisors and mentors. There will also be people who will help organize the division of work on the project itself. The projects will be evaluated by a jury. The award-winning project will be implemented by the Cracow City Hall.

Climathon is a unique event – it lasts 24 hours. Meetings of design teams are held simultaneously in 200 cities around the world. We plan to connect live so we can see what others are coming up with.

There will also be plenty of activities for participants – catering from local makers, yoga classes and many other surprises.
Our event will be organised as a zero-emission event. Details coming soon. 🙂

We start on 27 October at 1pm and end on 28 October at 1 p.m.
The entire event will be held at the Embassy of Cracovians – ul. Stolarska 6/9
