During the campaign, we planted perennials in Warsaw and found time to educate volunteers. This is one of the many ways to make a positive impact on the environment and act as part of corporate social responsibility.

This is not the first time we planted in Warsaw. It’s true that as a rule we plant trees, but we also sometimes plant shrubs or perennials and add a good dose of thematic education.

Where, when and why did we plant perennials?

The action, which could take place thanks to the Warsaw Greenery Board and dentsu Poland, took place on 30.06.2022 in Warsaw. We had a couple of reasons for our action. First of all, we wanted to increase the biodiversity of the area, make the urban landscape greener and the citizens live better.

We planted perennials (herba perennis), but that’s not all

Planted species:

• Echinacea purpure (Purple coneflower),
• Salvia nemorosa Mainacht (Mossy sage ‘Mainacht’),
• Lythrum salicaria,
• Stipa Tenuissima,
• Monarda Didyma,
• Gaura lindheimeri (White gaura).

In addition, we also found a place for Seslerina autumnalis (Sesleria autumnalis).

We not only planted perennials, but also built bird houses

Birds – we see them so often, but can only name a few of them, if any. As part of our CSR activities, we built shelters for all of them. Anyone who was brave enough to pick up a saw, screwdriver or crank drill was able to help build the birdhouses. The finished works could be taken away by their contractors and hung according to our instructions. Perhaps the next breeding will be more abundant, and the next generation of birds will enjoy the ears and eyes of the volunteers.

What is CSR?

CSR is otherwise known as corporate social responsibility, a concept that takes into account the approach of companies to social or environmental concerns. Our partners aspire to make their choices go in line with this strategy, and often choose to do things for the environment, climate and education. The latter is particularly important, because without changing mentalities and attitudes towards the facts about climate change, it will be impossible to change behaviors and habits to save the Earth.

By planting perennials and making nesting boxes with detsu Poland, we helped them take an ecological action for the environment.

We planted perennials with dentsu Poland – a few words about them

Our partner in this planting is the Polish division of Dentsu Inc. which is primarily involved in advertising and public relations. On the way to development, dentsu Poland decided to think about our planet as well, hence the #ONEDAYFORCHANGE campaign, a perennial planting took place.

We would like to thank dentsu Poland for planting 90 perennials together and doing something for the environment and our planet.
