“Climathon 2017 – Energy for Climate” is a global marathon, lasting 24 hours. The organizer of the second edition of the event in Krakow was our foundation and the city hall. This article will provide all information about the event.

This year’s Climathon took place on October 27-28, not only in Krakow, but also in 200 other cities around the world – at the same time. The goal was to find ideas that could make the public aware of the importance of renewable energy sources, in addition, in live links it was possible to see what the work and ideas of people from other cities around the world look like.

The jury consisted of experts from our foundation and the Krakow City Hall, as well as other specialists – they were the ones to evaluate the projects.

  • The winners of this year’s event turned out to be a team of geography students from Jagiellonian University, who prepared a project called “City cha(lle)nge”
  • The project, taking second place, called  “Zróbmy dobry klimat” (meaning: “Let’s make a good climate”), also deserved an honorable mention.
